AURALISM™: What Happens When Sound Becomes the Primary Language of Intimacy?
Ms. Marisha as ‘Khalia’ from ‘The 4 Personas’ boudoir shoot. She is one form of self-abandonment, and highlights one place where I learned to disconnect from myself in order to survive. She discovered auralism as one pathway back herself.
INTRODUCTION
Most of modern life is built around what we can see.
We scroll. We watch. We perform. We curate.
But some of the most meaningful parts of being human cannot be seen at all.
A sigh. A laugh. A confession. A voice note sent at midnight. A conversation that changes the course of a life.
AURALISM™ began with a simple question:
What happens when sound becomes the primary language of intimacy?
Not intimacy as performance or spectacle.
Intimacy as presence, curiosity, and connection.
House of Auralism™ was created to explore that question through media, community, research, products, and immersive experiences.
OUR STORY
House of Auralism™ began with a question:
What happens when sound becomes the primary language of intimacy?
The answer did not arrive through research. It arrived through lived experience.
During a season known as My Year of Kintsugi, founder Marisha Dixon stepped away from extractive ways of working and began rebuilding her relationship with herself.
Through solitude. Through nature.Through sound. Through creative expression.
What emerged was a realization:
Many of the things people long for most such as connection, vulnerability, pleasure, belonging, emotional honesty, are often easier to hear than they are to see.
House of Auralism™ exists to explore those possibilities with members who are not spectators. They’re active participants.
OUR PROMISE
We create experiences that help people listen more deeply:
To themselves.
To others.
To life.
WHY NOW
We live in a world that is more connected than ever and yet many people feel increasingly alone. We have endless ways to communicate but fewer places to be fully present. We consume more content than any generation before us, but many of us struggle to feel deeply known.
House of Auralism™ exists at the intersection of several growing cultural conversations:
Loneliness and belonging
Intimacy and relationships
Sound and wellbeing
Presence and attention
Ritual and community
Pleasure and self-expression
We believe sound offers a powerful pathway back to all of them.
WHAT IS AURALISM?
AURALISM™ is a sonic media property exploring intimacy, connection, vulnerability, imagination, and emotional participation through sound.
Through guided experiences, storytelling, conversations, immersive audio, and cultural commentary, Auralism invites people to engage with themselves and each other in new ways.
AURALISM™ is the media property. It’s where the conversation begins.
Ms. Marisha, the voice behind the experience.
THE LONG GAME
The goal is not to build another creator brand.
The goal is to build the world's most thoughtful media and experiential ecosystem exploring intimacy, connection, and emotional participation through sound.
